Health Regulations

Except in the case of very young animals, your pet should not be fed for twelve hours prior to travel and should be exercised before being crated. Remember - animals must be able to stand, turn around and lay down in their travel crate. For international travel animals must have access to a water container.

Making the journey stress-free for your pet

In some instances it would be advisable to familiarize your pet a crate prior to its trip. We undertake to plan your pet's journey so that it's time in transit is minimal.

At G-pet it's our job to help you meet each of these relocation concerns.

Size of Crate

You will need to correctly measure your pet so we can accurately size the crate that the animal will travel in. Remember, there must be space for the animal to sit, stand and turn around. We will need four measurements:

Length:
Measure you pet from the tip of it's nose to the tip of it's rump in a straight line. Do not include the tail in your measurement. See "A" (see figure)

Measure your pet from the floor to the top of it's head, whilst standing. Include the pet's ears in this measurement. See "B" (see figure)

Width:
You will need to measure your pet's width across it's shoulders. This will give us the ability to determine what it's turning space will be. See "C" (see figure)

Weight:
You will need to give an indication of your pet's weight. Your vet can help with this.
